Patriot Foundation Scholarship Application

​Merit Based Application

​​These scholarships are funded by the North Carolina State Legislature and are open to the children and spouses of fallen or disabled veterans, children of injured active-duty service members, and qualifying disabled veterans (50% disability rating or more). Applicants must be NC residents accepted to or attending NC postsecondary institutions. The Patriot Star Recovery Program is a need-based scholarship program with specific financial qualifiers. Eligibility Criteria for Patriot Foundation Scholarship


   Children of XVIII Airborne Corps (non-divisional) Soldiers who were killed, wounded or injured while serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America supporting the Global War on Terror. The death, or injury could have happened while deployed, while training for deployment or in routine training at home station.

Children of Fort Liberty Soldiers killed while serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America supporting the Global War on Terror whose family is served by the Fort Liberty Survivor Outreach Services Office. The death could have happened while deployed, while training for deployment or in routine training at home station.
